RelayID Child Safety

A safer response when a child needs help getting back to their guardian.

Child Safety is a separate RelayID experience built around fast guardian alerts, calm finder guidance, controlled safety information and a live return session.

Guardian-controlled child safety

More than a phone number on a wristband.

When a finder scans an active Child Safety wristband, RelayID automatically starts the Child Found alert and opens a live safety session. The finder does not need to press another button to confirm the child has been found.

Automatic Child Found alert

An active wristband scan starts the critical Child Found alert immediately and opens a live incident for that finder device.

Guardian Circle

Primary and backup guardians can have a relationship label, approved contact details and Child Safety alert delivery without duplicate private contact fields.

Live Safety Session

The finder and guardian can exchange short safety-focused updates, share a current location when allowed and keep the same incident timeline open.

Safe Handover

A signed-in guardian can generate a short-lived six-digit handover code. The code is a verification aid and never replaces normal safeguarding judgement.

How Child Safety responds

From scan to safe return

01Wristband scanned

The scan automatically starts a critical Child Found incident and alerts the guardian.

02Live session opens

The finder is taken directly to the safety session. Scanning the same wristband again on the same device returns to that existing session.

03Stay safe and connected

The finder sees approved guardian contact options, communication guidance, essential medical and allergy information, and optional location sharing.

04Safer handover

The guardian and finder use the live session until the child is safely returned. A one-time code can support the intended handover.

RelayID Child Safety supports a safe return. It is not an emergency service.

Immediate danger, a medical emergency or a safeguarding concern should be handled through the appropriate trusted staff, police or emergency services. Guardian verification must never override a genuine safety concern.
